Follow Up Email offers a free plan and a range of paid plans based on monthly email volume. All paid plans are billed through Shopify, so charges appear on your regular Shopify invoice.

How the email quota works

Your email quota resets on your billing cycle date each month (the anniversary of when you first subscribed). You can see your current usage and your quota renewal date on the Plans page inside the app.

If you reach your monthly quota, automated emails will pause until the quota resets. Emails that were queued but not yet sent will not be sent retroactively — only new events that occur after your quota resets will trigger new emails.

Tip: Upgrade before you hit your limit Monitor your usage on the Plans page. If you're consistently using 80%+ of your quota, consider upgrading proactively so you don't miss sending to customers near the end of your billing cycle.

How billing works

Paid plans are billed through Shopify's recurring application charge system. When you select a plan, Shopify presents a billing confirmation screen — you must approve the charge before the plan activates. Once approved, the charge appears on your regular Shopify invoice.

There are no contracts. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from the Plans page in the app.

Upgrading your plan

To upgrade, go to Plans in the app sidebar, select a higher plan, and follow the Shopify billing confirmation prompt. Your new quota takes effect immediately after approval.

Downgrading your plan

To downgrade, select a lower plan from the Plans page. Downgrades are subject to a brief window before your next billing date — if you've already used more emails than your target plan allows, you may need to wait until your next billing cycle.

Cancelling

You can cancel your paid plan at any time by selecting the Free plan from the Plans page. Your emails will continue until your current billing period ends, then you'll be moved to the Free plan (50 emails/month). Alternatively, you can uninstall the app from your Shopify admin to cancel immediately.
